A windswept pink vista, embroidered insects, a silhouette of a house at night... what do they have in common? Nothing. But in the group show Stop & Stor at Luxe Gallery, coherence is not a requirement. This show features paintings by forty-three artists from all over the world.
This show asserts no polemic and conveys no overarching thematic impulse. Its conception lies in the desire to express endless possibility: the purposefully dense installation of paintings demonstrates a wide spectrum of artistic approaches.

We are just excited about painting : 43 artists - 43 sensibilities.

Luxe gallery would like to thank Neil Simon, and the staff of Stop & Stor Storages who made this show possible, Scott Miller and JD Conley from Miller Communications for their continuous support, Marvin and Alice Kosmin and Diane Ackerman for their guidance and inspiration, the galleries who lent works for the show and above all, the artists participating in Stop & Stor.
