Y2K(TWO) - Miami Beach Diary Project
Stefano Cagol on-line project from Art Basel Miami Beach 2002

Y2Ktwo Miami Beach Diary Project is an art performance than will take place during Stefano Cagol visit to Miami. The performance is a visual diary of the first overseas edition of Basel Art Exposition, from 5 to 8 December in Miami and Stefano Cagol will be participating as a representative of Artcore Gallery, Toronto. The performance will be held at the Exposition, on Florida's beaches and at nightlife events taking place during the five days of the Basel Art Exposition, a major international contemporary art exposition. The artist will be on line during the exposition and will interact through his website http://www.y2ktwo.com editing photographs, video and texts. He will create a sort of travel report and communicate his creative experience in everyday life, while enlightening the process of transformation of sensual and introspective understanding of the event into digital pages. The project Y2Ktwo Miami Beach Diary Project is the second episode of a previous performance of Stefano Cagol.
While visiting New York as a fellow of I.C.P. International Centre of Photography, he edited his first interactive travel diary in spring 2001, published online at http://www.stefanocagol.com/y/index.html.

Stefano Cagol is born in 1969 in Trento, where he still lives and work. In 1993 he received his degree from “Brera” Art Academy of fine Arts, Milan. In 1997 he has been post-doc fellow at Reyerson University and in 1999 he received a grant from I.C.P.
International Centre of Photography in New York. At present Stefano Cagol is artist in residence for the Leube Program of Gartenau/ Salzburg, Austria.
