The End of the Border

Realized for the Barents Art Triennale, with Pikene pa Broen and Dolomiti Contemporanee

From the Alps to the Arctic, the artist traced powerful, even impalpable rays of light across natural, cultural, and political boundaries along an epic journey across Europe, until the frontier between Norway and Russia, an always tense Schengen and Nato limit.
The project started with the Vajont Dam, a human-made structure designed to satisfy our hunger for energy, which challenged nature and led to a tragedy.

Dalle Alpi all'Artico, l'artista ha tracciato potenti, persino impalpabili, raggi di luce attraverso confini naturali, culturali e politici, lungo un viaggio epico attraverso l'Europa, fino alla frontiera tra Norvegia e Russia, un limite di Schengen e NATO sempre teso.
Il progetto è partito dalla Diga del Vajont, manufatto umano per soddisfare la nostra fame di energia, che ha sfidato la natura e portato a una tragedia.
