A contemporary ritual reflects on the times of
humanity and nature, on divination and indigenous symbiosis.
Luminous signals attempt to communicate with the surrounding
environment, triggered using movements and fires through a
pseudo-divinatory practice, a ritual suspended between darkness
and light, myths of the past, uncertainties of the present, and
challenges of futures beyond time and space.
Two chapters based on shamanic solitude include a performance in
the middle of the Dolomites, once a tropical sea bottom and now
high Alpine mountains. The latter location is Golta Island,
where the stones evidence the most ancient geological eras of
the Earth. The artist keeps fire in his hands as the starting
point of the Anthropocene, a symbol for a heat and
energy-intensive society.
Un rituale contemporaneo riflette sui tempi
dell'umanità e della natura, sulla divinazione e sulla simbiosi
indigena. Segnali luminosi tentano di comunicare con l'ambiente
circostante, innescati da movimenti e fuochi attraverso una
pratica pseudo-divinatoria, un rituale sospeso tra oscurità e
luce, miti del passato, incertezze del presente e sfide del
futuro al di là del tempo e dello spazio.
Due capitoli basati sulla solitudine sciamanica includono una
performance nel cuore delle Dolomiti, un tempo fondale marino
tropicale e ora alte montagne alpine. Altra location è l'isola
di Golta, dove le pietre testimoniano le ere geologiche più
antiche della Terra. L'artista tiene il fuoco tra le mani come
punto di partenza dell'Antropocene, simbolo di una società
energivora.
