We Own the Futures

We Own the Futures is the title of a performance held in the Alpine town of Bressanone (Brixen) in South Tyrol on the United Nations International Day of Light 2024. Through one of the first contemporary art projects involving a humanoid robot, Stefano Cagol focuses on our shared future with technology, calling for awareness and responsibility.
The project, supported by Bressanone Turismo & Cultura, reached over 250 million viewers worldwide through TV, online news, and social media.
This performance builds on another work by Cagol created on the same day, Signal to the future, a starting point for a long-term project.

We own the futures è il titolo di una performance avvenuta nella cittadina di Bressanone (Brixen) tra le Alpi in Südtirol nella Giornata Internazionale della Luce 2024 decretata dalle Nazioni Unite. Attraverso uno dei primi progetti d’arte contemporanea che coinvolgono l’uso di un robot umanoide, Stefano Cagol si concentra sul nostro futuro comune con la tecnologia, richiamando a consapevolezza e responsabilità.
Il progetto, supportato da Bressanone Turismo & Cultura, ha raggiunto oltre 250 milioni di spettatori in tutto il mondo attraverso la TV, i notiziari web e i social media.
Questa performance s’inserisce nel solco di un altro lavoro di Cagol realizzato nella stessa giornata, Signal to the future, che ha dato avvio a un progetto a lungo termine.
